Advertising assessment learner response

You don't need to include a mark or grade if you don't want to. WWW:  I really like what you’ve done with your finished product. The placement of the cover lines and consistent use of colour scheme of your font/typography is strong, and this reinforces the men’s fashion brand identity too. The camera shot and lighting are also good examples of applying media language to communicate meaning to your product. You have considered the cover lines which relate to existing versions of GQ magazine. EBI:  There are two main lessons to take from this production work. Firstly, the masthead, which you identified in your evaluation, is in the wrong position of your front cover. If you look back at the other GQ magazine covers, they are usually placed on the top left which does not fully fit the brand’s house

Different magazine genres that link to GQ is General Interest as this is when a magazine covers topics  like food, fashion or home  and gardening which also has a combination of pictures and advertising which are all bound together with a glossy cover such as GQ. Another magazine genre that links to GQ is Special Interest as this is when a magazine focuses on a specific area of fashion or trend and gives an in-depth explanation and viewpoints into it.
